Import and Copy BigSky Package

Once you’ve mastered exporting course content, it’s time to learn how to copy courses and import or upload course packages.

If you haven’t exported anything, there’s nothing to import.

1. From the BigSky homepage, select the course you want to import components to.
2. On the Navigation Bar, click Content.
3. In the right-side panel, choose Table of Contents.
4. Click the Import Course button.
5. From the drop-down menu, choose either Copy Existing Course or Import Course Package.

Copy Existing Course

1. In the Import/Export/Copy Components tool, select Copy Components from another Org Unit, then click Search for offering.
2. Type the name of the course you want to copy and select the correct course from the search results.
3. Decide whether to Copy All Components or Select Components.
4. Click Continue.
5. Once done, click View Content to see the copied components in the course.

Remember, only perform the import or copy process once to avoid duplicates.

Import Course Package

1. In the Import/Export/Copy Components tool, select Import Components and ensure you choose from a course package, then click Start.
2. Select the ZIP package you downloaded from exporting.
3. Choose Import All Components and wait for the process to complete.
4. Click View Content to review the imported components.
