The NEWS tool is a good place to post and see important announcements like reminders, special events, and schedule changes. Upon logging in you will find the latest news when you scroll down. It will include institutional news such as special training, changes in the academic calendar, etc., and announcements made in your courses.
Students can only read and react to news, not create them. You can view how to access the News tool in the video below.
Faculty members, on the other hand, CAN create news items but only on their own courses. It starts with clicking on COMMUNICATION at the navigation bar > NEWS.
Any news items created will appear in the News page.
