Log in to Google Meet
If you can access your Benilde Gmail then you should be able to access, log into, and use Google Meet.
Open your browser, ideally Google Chrome, and log in to your Benilde Gmail account. The credentials for your Benilde Google account are different from your Infonet account. For Google, your username is your full name (with your first and second name together and your last name separated by a dot) followed by @benilde.edu.ph. See attached image as a guide.

Click on NEXT, that will bring you to the next screen which will ask for your password. This will be the password you nominated.


After clicking on NEXT again, you will be brought to your Benilde Gmail immediately. At the upper right of your screen, you will see waffle navigation. (See object circled in green.) This is where you will find the icons of the Gsuite that you have access to including Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Hangouts, Google Drive, Google Docs, and Google Meet, among others.

Click on Google Meet, this will bring you to the landing page.

You are now logged in to Google Meet.
Schedule a Google Meeting
You can schedule a meeting from either Google Meet or from Google Calendar.
Using Google Meet
Click on the NEW MEETING button then click on CREATE A MEETING FOR LATER.

That will generate joining information that you could share with other users to meet with at a later time or date.

Copy the information by clicking the copy icon and share it via email, social media, or text message.
Using Google Calendar
Login to your Benilde Gmail account. Go to the waffle navigation found at the top right side of your screen and click on the Google Calendar icon. This will bring you to Google Calendar.

Click on the CREATE button found on the top left of the screen to create an event.

In the top field, type in the title of the event.
Set the time and date of the meeting.
Add guests to your meeting.
Add Google Meet Video Conferencing. This is the default of Benilde but still needs to be triggered.

Click on Google Meet in the dropdown. This will create the meeting and provide you with the link to the meeting that will be sent to your guests.

So that your guests have a clearer understanding of what the meeting is all about, make sure to add a description or attachments.
Click on SAVE. Your event is created and will now be on your calendar on the time and date that you scheduled.
Start a new Google Meeting
There are two ways you could start a Google Meeting:
From Google Meet
Once you are logged in to Google Meet, click on the NEW MEETING button. This will start a new Google Meeting that you could use immediately.

To invite people to join you in the meeting you will need to send them the link to the meeting. You could send them the link via email or social media.
From Google Calendar

Go to the waffle navigation found at the top right side of your screen and click on the Google Calendar icon. This will bring you to Google Calendar.


Click on the CREATE button found on the top left of the screen to create an event.
In the top field, type in the title of the event.
Set the time and date of the meeting.
Add guests to your meeting.
Add Google Meet Video Conferencing. This is the default of Benilde but still needs to be triggered.

Click on Google Meet in the dropdown. This will create the meeting and provide you with the link to the meeting that will be sent to your guests.

Click on SAVE. Your event is created and will now be on your calendar.

When the event is about to start, click on the event to display its details and click on the JOIN WITH GOOGLE MEET button. This will open the Google Meet interface in another tab or window and immediately enter the meeting.
