What are the graduate programs offered in Benilde?

Benilde currently offers these graduate programs to professionals who want to take their skills and knowledge to the next level.

Master of International Business

The Master in International Business (MIB) is a one-year degree graduate program for businessmen and professional managers who want to make their firms more competitive in the local market, expand their operations outside the Philippines, or make their market position stronger in the international or global markets. Whether thesis-track or non-thesis track, the MIB program provides graduate students the hard skills in managing the operational and the strategic aspects of the business in an ever-challenging and dynamic market.

Master of Science in Tourism and Hospitality Management

The Master of Science in Tourism and Hospitality Management (MSTHM) program has three tracks of specialization: Culinary Management, Tourism Management, and Hospitality Management. MSTHM trains hospitality professionals to:

  • Become sharp and critical decision-makers
  • Have strong foundations in the business and science of hospitality
  • Have strategic development competencies in food products, travel, and service industries.

Master of Human Resource Management

The Master in Human Resource Management (MHRM) program is a one-and-a-half-year modular program equipping those in the Human Resource field with appropriate tools and skills to make effective decisions.

Doctor in Tourism and Hospitality Management

Doctor of Philosophy in Tourism and Hospitality Management by Research

Doctoral degrees in Tourism and Hospitality Management prepare individuals for teaching and research-based careers in academia or as industry practitioners and field consultants in hospitality and tourism enterprises. It provides an opportunity to engage in innovative leadership, research, and value formation that furthers society’s understanding of the unique industry characteristics.

My degree is not related to the program I’m applying for, are there subjects I need to take before I can be accepted?

If you are applying to Master of Science in Tourism and Hospitality Management and your college degree is not related to hospitality or tourism, you will need to take 9 units of bridging subjects to be accepted to the program. 

For Doctor in Tourism and Hospitality Management and Doctor of Philosophy in Tourism and Hospitality Management by Research, you must be a master’s degree graduate in the same or related field from a recognized institution. 

If you are applying to Doctor in Tourism and Hospitality Management and you graduated with a non-thesis degree, you need to take 9 units of bridging subjects to be accepted to the program.

Other graduate programs do not have required degrees or bridging subjects before you can apply to the program.

I’m currently working full-time; is it possible for me to work while taking my graduate studies?

Yes. As a graduate student, you can choose the number of units you will enroll in every term; this will allow you to manage your time and study while still working full-time.

Do graduate students have access to all Benilde campuses and facilities?

Graduate program students, like undergraduate students, can use and access all facilities inside the Benilde Manila campus.

Do you accept international students for Graduate Programs?

Yes, international students are welcome to apply to our graduate programs.

Do you accept transferees for Graduate Programs?

Yes, transferees are welcome to apply to our graduate programs.

I’m a faculty/associate in Benilde; do I get a discount if I apply to a graduate program here?

You can apply for the Advanced Study Grant from PODO. The grant form should be duly approved by all signatories. PODO will inform you of the discount percentage based on their criteria.

I’m a faculty/associate from another DLSP school; do I get a discount if I apply to a graduate program in Benilde?

Ask the Human Resource Department of your school for your process in availing discounts for graduate programs.

Are there scholarships for graduate students?

We currently don’t offer scholarships to graduate students.

How much is the tuition fee?

The trimestral tuition fee will depend on how many units a student enrolls in. An estimate would be Php 35,000 to Php 70,000 per trimester. Cost may change without prior notice. There are three (3) trimesters in a school year. 

To give you an idea, here’s a sample computation of fees for each program:

  • The tuition fee computation will be available during enrollment. Use the figures above as a guide should there be no tuition fee increase.
  • International students shall pay a bond of PhP110,000.00 during the first enrollment. Additional fees, covering administration and documentation, will be paid every term (around PhP5,000.00).
  • The paid reservation fee of Php5,000.00 will be credited to the tuition and other fees. This will be deducted from the total assessment during enrollment.

What are the payment term options?

The tuition and fees can be paid in full or in installment.
