The Activity Feed widget, located under the News tool, lets you and your students share messages and comments with the class. It also allows the direct creation of assignments and publishing of announcements.
- From the BigSky homepage, click on the course you want to access.
- On the course homepage, scroll down to the Activity Feed.
- Click + Create a post…
- Choose either Message or Assignment as the type of post.
- Select Post to publish immediately or use the Post Later option to schedule it.
Post a Message
- After selecting the Message tab, enter your text in the provided space.
- If applicable, allow comments by checking the Allow comments box.
- Click the note icon to upload attachments, if needed.
- Click Post to publish your message.
Create an Assignment
- After selecting the Assignment tab, fill in the Assignment Name, Instructions, Due Date, and Submission Type. Alternatively, use the Select Existing button to automatically fill out the details.
- If applicable, allow comments by checking the Allow comments box.
- Click the note icon to upload attachments, if needed.
- Click Post to publish the assignment.
