Being socially responsible is part of our core values as Benildeans. The Center for Social Action (CSA) provides opportunities to do this through different volunteer programs and activities. Here are some social action programs you can volunteer in:
Benildean Operation Sagip (BOS)
A disaster response program aimed to help communities affected by natural or man-made disasters.
Kawa Pilipinas Community Kitchen
With Benilde as the temporary home of Kawa Pilipinas Foundation Inc., you can volunteer to prepare food for the homeless and people in need.
Benilde Summer Arts Festival
An annual outreach program where you can volunteer to help make art accessible to children and young people from community partners by facilitating free art workshops.
Community Service Adviser (Associate)
Volunteer as a CS Adviser to supervise and mentor students registered in Community Service Programs.
Alternative Learning System Learning Facilitator (Associate)
The Alternative Learning System (ALS) provides opportunities for out-of-school youth and adults to develop basic and functional literacy skills and access alternative means to complete their basic education. When you volunteer as an ALS Learning Facilitator, you will teach Benilde ALS Learners using DepEd-provided learning modules.
These are only some of the programs you can volunteer in. CSA sends emails when they need volunteers for these, so always check your inbox. You can also follow the Benilde Center for Social Action Facebook page to stay updated and informed on volunteering opportunities.
