At its very core, Benilde has the vision of education for all. This is demonstrated through its list of scholarships and grants to ensure that everyone – regardless of background – can still access world-class education.
It is important to declare any scholarship-related information during the application, especially if you hold a scholarship from an NGO or LGU.
Scholarship Application Period
The scholarships and grant application period for incoming students of 1st Term AY 2025 - 2026 will be on:
- First-year Undergraduate: December 2, 2024 - March 28, 2025
- Benilde Senior High School: Opens on January 15, 2025
You need to pass the Benilde Entrance Exam and get accepted to Benilde first before you can apply for a scholarship.
The release of results will start on April 30, 2025. The Center for Admissions - Scholarships and Grants Unit will email your scholarship application result.
The scholarship application is only open during the announced application period. Late applications are automatically not accepted as slots are limited.
Guidelines
- Scholarships and grants are only for incoming first-year college or Grade 11 senior high school students. Transferees can only apply to the BASAP and SDEAS grants.
- You need to be accepted to the degree program you’ve applied for in Benilde first before applying for a scholarship.
- You can apply to only one scholarship type.
- You must be a Filipino citizen. If you’re a dual citizen, you must submit an order of recognition, a PSA Birth Certificate, and a copy of a valid Philippine passport.
- Slots for all Benildean scholarships are limited. The scholarship does not cover meal or transportation allowance, school projects, uniforms, tours, equipment, or electronic devices.
- Your application will be evaluated based on the Benilde Entrance Exam (BEE) results or its equivalent as approved by the Scholarship Committee, previous grades, interviews/auditions prescribed by the degree program, and other scholarship application requirements.
- Incomplete or late submissions, falsification, withholding information regarding scholarships, or multiple applications may result in disqualification.
Scholarships and Grants Offered
Benilde offers various scholarships and grants to qualified aspiring Benildeans. Each type has a specific set of requirements and application procedures. Click the scholarship or grant to learn the requirements and scholarship application procedures.
Academic Scholarships
- Benildean Excellence in Scholastics and Talent (BEST) - a by-invitation academic scholarship granted to student leaders with exemplary academic performance from Grades 7 to 11.
- Honors Scholarship - offered to students from public or parochial schools who graduated with honors and have a GPA of at least 90% from Grades 7 to 11.
- Honors Scholarship: Br. Benildo Feliciano FSC Scholarship - offered to students from La Salle schools who graduated with honors and have a GPA of at least 90% from Grades 7 to 11.
Applicants must graduate with honors from Grade 12; otherwise, they will be ineligible for the scholarship.
- VATEL Scholarship - a one-year scholarship awarded to the top-ranking upper-class student taking Bachelor of Science in International Hospitality Management (BS-IHM) who has completed at least 5 academic terms.
Merit Scholarships
- Saint Mutien Marie Wiaux Scholarship - scholarship offered to applicants applying to programs under the School of Arts, Culture, and Performance, School of Environment and Design, and School of Media Arts and has a GPA of at least 85% from Grades 7 to 11. The Program Chairperson/Coordinator will set additional screenings.
- Br. Raphael Donato Grant - a grant given to artistic Filipino students whose creative endeavors contribute to their chosen BCAU organization and the Benildean community.
- Student Publications Grant - a grant awarded to qualified editors and staff of the Benildean Press Corps (BPC) and Ad Astra.
- Athletic Recruit Scholarship - scholarship offered to student-athletes who will represent Benilde in sports competitions as endorsed by the Director of the Center for Sports Development.
Financial Grants
- Pierre Romançon Grant (PRG) - financial grant offered to applicants applying to degree programs under the School of Diplomacy and Governance, School of Hotel, Restaurant, and Institution Management, School of Management and Information Technology, School of Multidisciplinary Studies, and School of Deaf Education and Applied Studies (BSLI) and has a GPA of at least 85% from Grades 7 to 11.
- Blessed Arnould Study Assistance Program (BASAP) - offered to working students who don’t have a college degree yet and are applying to a career development program (BSBA - Business Management or BSBA -Marketing Management).
- School for Deaf Education and Applied Studies Grant (SDEAS G) - a grant for medically certified Deaf or Hard of Hearing applicants who will take Bachelor in Applied Deaf Studies (BAPDST).
Green Lane and Express Lane applicants may be invited to take the Benilde Entrance Exam as part of the scholarship application requirements.
