As a proponent of inclusive education, Benilde offers scholarships for Deaf or Hard-of-Hearing students who face economic challenges. This grant is designed for students interested in pursuing technical knowledge and practical applications of tools that can be utilized by the Deaf community in real-world situations. It grants full or partial scholarships.
To qualify, you must meet the following criteria:
- You are a Filipino citizen and an incoming first-year undergraduate applicant.
- You are medically certified Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
- You were accepted to Benilde under the program Bachelor in Applied Deaf Studies.
- You finished Grades 7 to Grade 12 with a Grade Point Average of at least 80% for every grade level.
- You need financial assistance.
- If you apply through the Green Lane or Express Lane, you will be invited to take the Benilde Entrance Exam as part of the scholarship requirements.
A maximum of 2 Deaf family members may apply for this grant. You must meet the GPA requirement when you graduate from Grade 12; otherwise, you will be ineligible for the scholarship.
How to apply
- Once accepted in Benilde, fill out the Scholarship Application Form for School for Deaf Education and Applied Studies (SDEAS) Grant. The form is only open during the scholarship application period.
- Create a Google Drive Folder where you will upload the following requirements:
- Admissions Acceptance Letter
- Grant Application Form (GAF)
- Scholarship Grade Form (SGF)
- Medical Certification (Deaf or Hard of Hearing Diagnosis)
- Set the Google Drive Folder sharing settings to Anyone with the link. Copy the sharing link and indicate it in the form.
- The Center for Admissions - Scholarships and Grants Unit will email your scholarship application result.
