Peer Assistance and Review Form (PARF) is an evaluation process that enables faculty to provide feedback to a co-faculty through classroom or online observations and feedback sessions. This 39-item Likert-type assessment is crucial for educators’ professional development.
When do I rate my peers?
PARF is conducted during the 6th to 10th week of the term. The Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Research (OIER) sends reminders via Benilde Mail on the first day of the evaluation and sends reminders for completion.
Why should I evaluate my peers?
Evaluating your peers through PARF provides essential data for plantilla loading and administrative decisions, supporting faculty in career advancement, mentoring, promotion reclassification, rehiring, and faculty development programs.
Missing PARF means your ratees won’t have the documents needed as part of their promotion requirements at Benilde. Your role as a rater is crucial in ensuring your colleagues receive their evaluations.
OIER will email the guidelines and links to the designated associates assigned by their program chairperson. Only those who are identified as raters will be given access and instructions to PARF.
How do I rate my peers?
You can rate your peers by conducting face-to-face observations or utilizing BigSky’s virtual classroom. Next, fill out the online PARF to complete your evaluation. Here’s how to get started:
- Reach out to your program chairperson to request a list of your ratees. Once you receive it, coordinate with each ratee to schedule their evaluation sessions.
- Familiarize yourself with the PARF Guidelines and the Minimum Standards for BigSky Usage for online evaluations.
-
After each observation, fill out the online PARF. The platform is compatible with any web browser on any internet-connected device. You can access this by going to these websites:
- Benilde Manila: PARF Evaluation
- Benilde Antipolo: PARF Evaluation
- Log in with your Infonet username and password. If you can’t log in, reset or change your password. If you’re still unable to log in, contact Helpdesk.
- Once signed in, you will see the list of your ratees. Click Answer for each to access the corresponding questionnaire.
- Carefully read the instructions and complete the questionnaire, marking N/A for any items that do not apply.
If you encounter technical problems with the online PARF form, contact Helpdesk.
- The ratee will receive an email notification to review and acknowledge their ratings. The review and acknowledgment period allows for discussion and adjustments if the ratee disagrees with the assigned ratings. Engaging in this conversation is essential before proceeding to the next step.
- After the discussion, you may adjust the ratings if the ratee has not yet acknowledged them. Once the ratings are confirmed, no additional changes can be made.
- Both you and the ratee will receive a notification confirming the acknowledgment of the assessment.
