As a teacher, you are responsible for providing support to your students throughout the course. In BigSky, it is very convenient for you to streamline your assessment methods by creating rubrics and maximizing the use of its functions. One of the tools that you can use to efficiently assess your students and give them feedback is by grading their submissions. Here are the steps for the grading process:
- From the BigSky homepage, click on the course where you want to grade submissions.
- On the navigation bar, select Assessment > Dropbox.
- Click the assignment folder to view the list of submissions.
- Open a student’s submission. You’ll be able to see options for grading.
- Assign a grade to the student’s submission based on the grading criteria you’ve set. You also have the option to provide feedback or comments.
- Click Save Draft to temporarily save the settings without making them visible to students. Click Save to publish the settings and make them visible to students.
Grading student submissions in BigSky allows students to track their academic progress and make adjustments if they fall behind. Teachers should adhere to faculty policy by regularly updating students on their grades and grading submissions promptly.
