To ensure accurate configuration of grade settings for a specific course and address any discrepancies or inconsistencies noticed by you and your students, follow these steps:
- From the BigSky homepage, select the course for which you wish to adjust grades.
- On the Navigation Bar, click Assessment > Grades.
- Under the Setup Wizard, scroll to the bottom of the page and click Start.
- In the Choose Grading System step, opt for Weighted then click Continue.
- For the Final Grade Released step, select which final grades to release, then click Continue.
- Proceed to the Grade Calculations step, choose the method for computing grades, and click Continue.
- In the Choose Default Grade Scheme step, select the Benilde Scheme, then click Continue.
- In the Managing View Display Options step, enter 2, and click Continue.
- In the Student View Display Options, select how students will view grades and ensure the number of decimal places displayed is 0. Click Continue.
- Review the details of your grade settings displayed on the page, then click Finish.
Minimum BigSky Usage Requirements:
- If you’re using grading tools other than BigSky Grading (e.g., Excel or Google Sheets), provide clear instructions for computation, feedback, and other details to students in Module 0.
- Benilde follows a zero-based grading policy for all assessments.
- A passing mark in any assessment activity is 70%.
- Grade computation follows the Benilde Grading Scheme.
