The Benilde Social Media Policy details the guidelines and regulations to keep in mind when using social media accounts as a Benildean especially when communicating and posting using official Benilde social media accounts. All social media accounts or pages created by student organizations and offices need to be registered with the Center for Institutional Communication. You can register your office/organization’s social media account by answering the Benilde Social Media Account Registry form.
Social Media Policy violations are considered a major offense. Here are some actions considered to be violations:
- Posting content that contains inaccurate and unconfirmed information
- Posting content that is not in line with Benilde's values, ethics, and relevant policies
- Promoting or instructing harassment or bullying or otherwise intimidates (e.g. trolling)
- Inciting violence or hatred
- Posting abusive content relating to an individual
- Posting content containing inappropriate images/photos/videos/audio recordings
- Disrespecting others or being discourteous/rude
- Criticizing or arguing with colleagues, students, parents, clients, partners, stakeholders, or competitors with ill will or in a non-constructive manner which may result in serious arguments, attract negative comments, reactions, and views
- Causing dishonor, defamation, or discrediting a person or institution
- Breaching confidentiality, data privacy, or copyright policies
Violations can be reported to Filing of Complaint/Reporting an Incident for students and to PODO at podohelpdesk@benilde.edu.ph for associates.
