Who can enroll in a SPaCE Program?
To qualify for a SPaCE program, you must be at least 18 years old and must have completed secondary education or its equivalent. If you’re still in high school, your certificate/diploma will be put on hold until you can provide your high school diploma.
What do I get when I enroll in SPaCE?
- Instructor-led, participant-centered training
- Hands-on instruction from competent facilitators
- Ideal class sizes for individual’s interest
- Access to our library of books/ebooks, research databases, and magazines
What is the medium of instruction?
Lessons are generally taught in English though at times, there are participants from other countries.
I noticed that most of your classes are only 4 days long. Is that enough time to learn anything useful?
Our programs are designed for professionals who are looking for fast, compact but comprehensive learning. 4 Saturdays is but for one module alone, each module is progressive, meaning it advances as it progresses to succeeding modules. One diploma usually has 4-5 modules, which is equivalent to 4-5 months. As a professional, these small months are enough for them to learn something in a short amount of time during the usual 6 months probationary period.
Books, videos, online classes, and the like are cheaper. Why should I invest in instructor-led training?
Books, videos, and online classes only offer one-way communication. SPaCE's instructor-led courses give you immediate and practical real-life scenarios from industry practitioners of the field.
How are the classes held? What modality are you using?
Right now, the default modality is online. Learning sessions are a combination of synchronous discussions via Zoom and asynchronous activities via BigSky, Benilde's Learning Management System (LMS).
Will I get a certificate at the end of the course/module? Do I get a Diploma as well?
You will get a Certificate of Completion for each module/course you finish. You will receive a Diploma and undergo graduation rites if you have successfully completed all modules within a Diploma Program.
Does each module have to be sequential?
No, you may take the modules in any order, as they are designed to be hop-on-hop-off. This means that if you can't take a particular module in the program right away, you can pick it up later in the year after completing the rest of the modules.
Do you have a maximum residency policy?
None. Being a hop-on-hop-off modular type program, this allows you to customize training and tailor your development in accordance with your availability and resources.
Do you offer on-site training?
Yes. However, training would be more effective when held away from the distractions of the workplace. When you attend classes in our school, you and your colleagues can focus on your training in a complete, distraction-free environment.
Can I pay in installments?
For installment payments, you must pay 50% of the module fee by the first session, and then settle the remaining fees by the second session.
