- Hearing fire alarms, seeing a fire, or hearing verbal announcements are signals for you to evacuate right away. Do not use elevators. Use the nearest safe and unobstructed exit.
- If there’s smoke, crawl low through it.
- All associates (faculty and non-teaching) are to act as floor marshalls and will assist students and guests during evacuation.
We regularly conduct drills to practice what to do in case of fire. In situations like this, stay calm and follow what you did during drills. Make it a point to know the locations of exits, alarms, and fire extinguishers before these incidents happen. Misuse of the fire alarm will be investigated and will result in disciplinary action.
