For safety, our security personnel scans and checks bags whenever you enter the campus. Vehicles also go through trunk inspection, chassis inspection, and random K9 inspection. Prohibited items (detailed in Benilde Student Handbook 2022 - 2025 Appendix F: Implementing Rules and Regulations on Handling Deadly Weapons and R.A. No.9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2022) such as guns, knives, sharp objects, explosives, illegal substances, alcoholic drinks, and weapon replicas are strictly not allowed. If any of these items are found in your bag/car during the screening process, you will be escorted to the security office for clarification about the items. Those with prohibited items will be endorsed to the Center for Restorative Discipline (students) for proper processing and investigation.
If you need to bring an item classified as prohibited to the school (for example, alcoholic drinks for HRIM students), get an endorsement letter first from your Chair or Dean if you’re a student or from your Center Director if you’re an associate before you bring them to the school. The letter should include the list and description of items and their intended use. Email the endorsement letter to cemss@benilde.edu.ph. Wait for your email to be approved and acknowledged before bringing these items to the school.
